The following rules & regulations apply to all visitors and users of this website tailsofadornment.com. By using this website you will be bound by all of the subsequent rules & regulations. In the event that a violation of these rules & regulations occurs, Tails of Adornment reserves the right to seek all remedies available by law & in equity.
Unless otherwise stated, the Tails of Adornment website & all of its contents (including without limitation, all text, photographs, images, video & audio) are exclusive property of Tails of Adornment and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

Please note that all Tails of Adornment Jewellery is hand-made to the highest possible standards, however due to the hand-made nature of the jewellery and the use of metals and natural fibres there may at times be slight variations from the product image on the website. We feel that this is gives your piece of jewellery a special unique quality.

Copyright Notice
The Tails of Adornment website & all of its materials including, but not limited to its text, artwork, photographs, images & video will collectively be known at ‘materials’. All ‘materials’ are protected by copyright laws & other international laws & treaties. You must comply with all proprietary and copyright notices on this web site. This web site is owned by Tails of Adornment and is subject to copyright. The information on this site is protected under Australian copyright laws. Subject to provisions of the Copyright Act 1968 (Australia), you must not in any form or by any means:
(i) reproduce, copy, adapt, broadcast, store, transmit, distribute, print, publish or create derivative works from any information or ‘materials’ on the site or otherwise exploit any of its ‘materials’ without our express prior written permission.
(ii) alter, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or modify any material or information that you receive from this site which can be accessed through this site; or
(iii) use or apply, for commercial purposes any material or information on this Site, without the prior written consent of Tails of Adornment.

Privacy Policy
At Tails of Adornment we keep your information in the strictest confidence and do not sell information to third parties, nor use personal information for any reason other than its intended use. 

Returns

Items custom made by Tails of Adornment are personalised so please choose carefully as there are no returns or exchanges. Premade pieces can be returned within 7 days in original condition at customers cost for the original purchase price.

 

Return of faulty items 

You have 6 months to return your purchase if it is faulty.

All items are quality checked but occasionally there may be a fault we are unaware of. Please note that wear and tear in the course of normal use is not considered a fault. Sterling Silver and hair items are delicate and should be handled with utmost care to preserve the life of the jewellery. Damage caused to the hair by and not limited to, exposure to water and chemicals, abrasive surfaces, hairs getting caught or pulled or mistreated, lack of proper care and repairs or modification by someone other than Tails of Adornment are not covered.

Tarnishing of Sterling Silver occurs naturally and this is due to general wear and tear and exposure to perfumes, moisturizers and heat from the body over a certain period of time. Tails of Adornment advises purchasers of their duty of care for each piece as detailed on the care instructions included within each purchase.

To be eligible for a repair, exchange or refund of a faulty item please contact Tails of Adornment with the following:
- A photograph of the item with a description of the fault
- The date of purchase

- Tails of Adornment cannot be held responsible for returned goods that may be lost, stolen or damaged in transit so please ensure all items being returned are securely packaged and posted with a tracking number. Any items not thoroughly packaged to avoid damage during transit will not be accepted, so please take care when posting.
- You are responsible for all postage costs incurred to return an item for repair as well as return postage to yourself.
 

The item will be assessed upon return for fault Tails of Adornment will then repair, replace or refund the item. Tails of Adornment reserves the right to deny an exchange or credit if the faulty piece returned does not meet our return policy requirements and it is deemed that care instructions were not followed.
 

Gift Vouchers
Tails of Adornment gift vouchers are available in variable amounts from $20-$500 AUD. Your gift voucher will be emailed or posted to the recipient upon payment.
Gift vouchers are valid for 36 months from the purchase date and must be supplied with the hair to be redeemed.
Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash or used to purchase another voucher.
If the full balance of the gift voucher is not used in one purchase the remaining balance will remain and can be used for a subsequent purchase keeping the original expiry date.

Payment

Payment for custom made work is upon completion of the piece. At this time if the item is not paid in full or a 2 month payment plan not activated Tails of Adornment reserves the right to refuse delivery of the work until balances are paid. All materials or property belonging to the client, as well as any complete work, may be retained as security until all just claims against the client are satisfied. Tails of Adornment retains the right to charge a late payment fee of 2% per month on the outstanding amount. The customer is responsible for any debt collection fees which may come due. After 6 months from completion if balance is still outstanding Tails of Adornment reserves the right to sell unpaid completed items to recoup any losses and retain remaining hair for stock purposes

In the event of cancellation of an incomplete order the client may request the return of any unused portion of hair at their own expense. Payment plans are an option (conditions apply).

 

Postage
At the time of payment a choice tracked postage is offered and the item can be tracked online through Australia Post. Sign on Delivery and Insurance are optional and at the clients discretion. Tails of Adornment holds no responsibility for loss, damage or theft to items during transit either to or from our premises.

Errors and Omissions

At Tails of Adornment we endeavour to check carefully for accuracy in all respects, ranging from spelling to technical illustrations. However Tails of Adornment is not liable for errors or omissions. The customer indemnifies Tails of Adornment against any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from any errors and omissions.
In the event that a product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price Tails of Adornment  reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price.

Tails of Adornment will not be responsible for any delay or failure in any performance due, without limitation, to acts of God, war, warlike conditions, blockade, embargoes, riots, governmental restriction, labour disturbances, unavailability of anticipated usual means of supplies, transportation or loading facilities, wrecks, epidemics, quarantine, fire, flood, earthquake, explosion, any unforeseen change in circumstances, or any other causes beyond its reasonable control.

 

 

Limitation of Liability
Tails of Adornment shall not be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials on this site or the performance of the products, even if  has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
